Youm e Ashoora is a sacred day in islam:
Islamic year is start with the month of Muharam-ul-Haram that’s why we can say that Muhram-ul-Haram is the first month of islamic calender. Muslims give the name of first Month is Muharam because in this montgh battle or any kind of fight had consider as Illegal.But Muslims also attach the wor “Haraam” with the name this month of Muharam because it is a very sinful month for the Muslims. This month has its own importance for the Muslims of all over the world. From the first of Muharam-ul-Haram is reminiscent the Nobel Personality in the history of Islam and the Grandson of Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW) was Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A) who martyred on the 10th Muharam-ul-Haram.
In the 10th of Muharram is the world's biggest event is "Ashura"is placed on in the all over the world.The name of this day Ashura is celebrated by shia muslims due to the great sacrifice of Hazrat e Imam Hussain (R.A) given in karbala for the strengthen of islam.In this day which is called Ashura the Shia Muslims all over the world held the great processions , mournings conference where there Shia scholars give speeches for the memorization of karbala incidents.
This day also reminiscent the martyrdom of Approximately 72 Companions of Harat Imam Hussain (R.A) in the field of Karbala by the order of Yazid ibne Muawia who was the second Caliph of ummyads. This was a very sinful event which occurred in the history of Islam. In this day all family of Prophet Muhammad PBUH shaheed with thirst and hungry childern also.These sacrifices are included in the great sacrifices which were given for the raised of islam.
Shia Muslims do mourning for the reminiscent the sinful event of Battle of Karbala. Shia Muslims held many Councils (Majalis) and the start mourn of Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A) from first Muharam ul Haram to 8th Dhu-ul-Qad. Some Muslims fasts on some specific days of these months. Many water sake is place in many different venues where shia Muslims Mourn. 10thMuharam-ul-Haram (Youm-e-Ashura) was a very sinful day in the Islamic Calender.
So all our islamic history sacrifices give all muslims the Lesson about the strengthen , great courage,lesson about sacrifice.All muslims which are now in pain and fight against the enemy of islam in the world in any country all muslims in the world take stand with decidedness so no one non-muslim cannot do nothing against muslims and they are failed in their conations.Insha Allah
Ashoora Fast according to Prophet Muhammad PBUH:
Hadith with reference:Sahih Muslim, The Book of Fasting (Kitab Al-Sawm)
1. Ibn 'Abbas reported that when the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) fasted on the day of 'Ashura and commanded that it should he observed as a fast, they (his Companions) said to him: Messenger of Allah, it is a day which the Jews and Christians hold in high esteem. Thereupon the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: When the next year comes, God willing, we would observe fast on the 9th But the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) died before the advent of the next year.(So we muslims have fasting on 9 and 10 both)
2. Ibn'Abbas (Allah be pleased with both of them) reported that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) arrived in Medina and found the Jews observing fast on the day of 'Ashura. The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said to them: What is the (significance) of this day that you observe fast on it? They said: It is the day of great (significance) when Allah delivered Moses and his people, and drowned the Pharaoh and his people, So we observe fast out of gratitude . Upon this the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: We have more right, and we have a closer connection with Moses than you have; so Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) observed fast (on the day of 'Ashura), and gave orders that it should be observed.
3. Abu Haraira (Allah be pleased with him) reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: The most excellent fast after Ramadan is God's month. al-Muharram, and the most excellent prayer after what is prescribed is prayer during the night.
4. Abu Qatada al-Ansari (Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) was asked about was asked about fasting on the day of 'Ashura (10th of Muharram), whereupon be said: It expiates the sins of the preceding year.
